File Naming Convention

HyTES filenames have changed over the years as the acquisition software has been modified or improved and as build versions of the processing software have been updated.  Below is a chart of the naming conventions by year.

Year File naming Example
2021-present

YYYYMMDDtHHMMSS_<location>_<product level>_<build ID>_<version ID>.<file format type>

  • All dates and times are in UTC.
  • Product level= L1, L2, L3
  • Build ID = Software build ID used
  • Version ID = The incremental version the scene has been run for that build id.

2013-2015

YYYY-MM-DD.HHMMSS.<location>.Line1-Run1-Segment01-110000.<file format type>

  • Line = the line number from multiple lines run on a given day
  • Run = Number of times the line was run on a given day
  • Segment = If the line was broken into segments
